Mince Tart

Monday is mince day. And mince and pasta or rice is a very good combination. Unfortunately, those carbs fall outside my eating allowances!! So, I decided to try something different tonight. Except, it came out a little dull. So this is one recipe I am going to do again, but with a different approach!

For now, this is the dish for today!

Ingredients

500g mince
1 onion
1/4 green pepper
1tbs balsamic vinegar
2tbs soya sauce
1t spice for mince
2t parsley
1t origanum
160g grated cheddar cheese
5 sliced mushrooms
4 eggs
salt & pepper to taste

Method

Finely chop the onion and green pepper together. Add to the mince. Add the balsamic vinegar, soya sauce, spice for mince, parsley, origanum, cheese and eggs. Mix together well.

Add the mushrooms, mix up. Scoop into a dish and level out. Cover with foil, make little holes for the steam to escape.

Bake in the oven at 160degrees C, for 1 hour. Take off the foil, slice the mince up. Bake uncovered for another half an hour or so.

Serve with rice - for those who can enjoy it, and salad!!

Yours in oil and veggies
